These days android smartphones with large displays are very much ready to watch videos. But android naively supports only a few video formats and few resolutions based on your screen size.So to avoid watching laggy videos you had to convert into a format which android natively supports. So here are the four free video converter softwares which convert videos in to android supportable format for windows platform.
Free Video To Android converter:
An android video converter which is solely meant to convert videos into the format natively supported by android. You can select from 30+ mobile phones and this android video converter by default select the bit rate, resolution based on your handset. I liked the support it has for a wide variety of devices and no need to change any of its settings as every thing will be set automatically after you select your handset. The only thing you may like to change is the output folder where the videos can be saved after they are converted.
It converts videos of any format to the MP4 format (MPEG4, AAC) which android supports natively. It supports different smartphones like
Acer AOD250, Acer Aspire One, Acer be Touch, Acer Liquid, Acer Liquid E, Acer Liquid Ferrari, Acer Stream, Altek Leo, Garmin Asus A10, Google Nexus One, HTC Desire, HTC Dream, HTC Hero, HTC Legend, HTC Nexus One, HTC Tattoo, HTC Wildfire, Motorola Backflip, Motorola Cliq, Motorola Devour, Motorola Droid, Motorola FlipOut, Motorola i1, Motorola MileStone, Samsung Behold II, Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Moment, Sony Xperia X10 mini, etc.
The only fault I found with this software is it takes bit extra time to convert videos compared to its counterparts. It took almost 6 minutes to convert a 5 minute video.
Freemake Video Converter:
Freemake video converter is an awesome video converter which has the ability to convert into native formats supported by many platforms like android, iOS, YouTube, bluray and many more. With the wide variety of options I really doubt why it is kept free. But no doubt this is absolutely free. Once you add the video files you like to convert then select the platform you to use the videos in, now Android. After selecting android you have to select the resolution which best suits your android device. That’s it you can queue up as many videos you like and Freemake will convert all of them for you with free of cost.
You can convert videos free to AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, SWF, 3GP, DVD, MPEG, MP3, iPod, iPhone, PSP, Android, rip & burn DVD, convert online videos directly from 40+ sites, burn Blu-ray, and upload to YouTube with our free video converter.
Any video converter:
As the name itself says you that it can convert any format of video into any other format and it really does it. It has an easy to use interface. With my experience I can say that it converts videos quicker than other converters but the main disadvantage with this is , it doesn’t have a native support for android . You have to select the android format i.e. MP4 and then set the resolution and bit rate required or which best suits your android device. So for people who don’t want to set those things its better try the above two converters which has support for android.
PC Hand Media Converter :
This is just one more video converter which can also convert videos into MP4 format. If only support few output resolutions and you can choose one from the few it supports even your if device doesn’t best suits that resolution. So check your android device resolution and only if it matches with the resolutions available try converting your videos else you may loose some quality in the videos.
